			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The WebX 2.0 was held at Bahria University on the 2<sup>nd</sup> and 3<sup>rd</sup> of June, 2011.  It was marked as the biggest convention of bloggers and web wizards of Pakistan.  A wide variety of imminent bloggers, social media evangelists and entrepreneurs shared their success stories with the attendees. The event turned out to be a huge success, attracting more than 250 participants from across the country.</p>
<p>The event was aimed at promoting blogging, social media and entrepreneurship in Pakistan. The convention was also aimed at promoting the upcoming digital bloggers from far flung areas of the country. Hence the objective of the event was not only to bring out the best but also to encourage the young talent and inspire them to thrive for more.</p>
<p>The 2 day event included worshops, seminars, game competitions and quite a number of other interactive activities.</p>
<p>On day 1, Professional bloggers and Social Media Gurus including Hamad Dar (<a href="http://koolmuzone.com/" target="_blank">koolmuzone.com</a>), Adnan Shaffi (<a href="http://ChipHazard.com ">chiphazard.com</a>), Saad Bassi (<a href="http://addictivefonts.com">addictivefonts.com</a>), Nabeel Ahmed (<a href="http://xnews.pk">Xnews</a>) and Waqas Butt (<a href="http://veryrite.com/" target="_blank">veryrite.com</a>) conducted a workshop on basics of blogging and advanced social media tactics to better market their blogs. A classic gaming competition was also held alongside the workshop sessions as a fun side attraction to the main event. Later during the day, Saad Hamid (<a href="http://sizlopedia.com/" target="_blank">sizlopedia.com</a>) chaired a blog showcase session and giveaways from Microsoft were distributed among the attendees.</p>
<p>On day 2, a number of prominent bloggers and entrepreneurs talked about their truly inspiring success stories.  Shoaib Khalil (Microsoft), Ghaus Iftikhar Nakodari (addictive tips), Zubair Khan (tranchulas), Saad Hamid (pehlimadad.org) and number of other notable personalities conduted talks on entrepreneurship. Bloggers and social media people also shared their journey to success.</p>
<p>Our honorable chief guests included SVP PTCL, president PTCL, DG Pakistan Post and Director Intelligence Bureau.</p>
<p>In our closing ceremony shields and awards were handed over to all the speakers along with the most popular blogs of Pakistan as propakistani.pk for best local blog, Addictive Tips for best international blog and veryrite.com for fastest growing blog.</p>
<p>The event turned out to be a huge success and motivated a lot of upcoming bloggers of Pakistan.</p>

<p>This year, WebX 2.0 is introducing a separate section dedicated to the Social Media. Our diverse panel of &#8220;Success Stories of Social Media Experts&#8221; will share their success stories and will give the enthusiasts tips on &#8220;How To Make It Big On the Web.&#8221; Audience will get a chance to ask questions from the people who are the leaders in Social Media.</p>

<p>WebX 2010 was a massive success with nation&#8217;s top bloggers and social media experts not only sharing their success stories with the crowd but also sharing their skills!  We also had CEOs of leading technology companies from Pakistan joining the panel of &#8220;Entrepreneurship Talk&#8221; and enthralling the audience with their &#8220;technology journey&#8221; and also engaging them in an interactive Q &amp; A session!</p>

It is increasingly becoming the most popular method to express one’s thoughts and feelings on the internet, as well as an effective medium to earn a respectable living. These days, all the businesses around the world and specifically the technology industry maintains at least one official web log to announce its latest developments and interact with the consumers.</p>
<p>Pakistan doesn’t lag behind in this field as well. In fact, many top bloggers of the world are Pakistanis who have been featured in a lot of international media outlets. A platform was needed were bloggers, social media experts &#038; enthusiasts could come together and share their experience. “WebX” was founded by a group of bloggers from Bahria University, Islamabad, with a purpose of creating as a platform where Pakistani bloggers across the globe could share and  interact with each other. In a short period of one year, WebX has become Pakistan’s largest gathering of bloggers, social media experts &#038; web technologists!</p>
<p>WebX 2010 was the first grand scale national gathering of bloggers and social media experts.</p>
